Background
NTV first went on air as Nation TV on the 6th of December 1999 as an all round family and information station, with a reach that covers over 3000 square kilometres, that is 60 km radius (crisp reception) around Nairobi, and up to 80 km fair performance. We are currently operating on a powerful 5KW signal which gives us a reach of about 13.5 million Kenyans.
NTV Genres
NTV offers a wide range of programming that gives the viewer different emotions, from laughter to tears, mayhem to tranquillity. The channel has a mixture of exciting foreign comedies.
There is also a variety of thrilling dramas that range from political drama, court drama, crime, sci-fi and many more.
Apart from entertainment, we also have news and information programs that give a more detailed and analytical look at what's happening around us. This is in addition to the daily news bulletins; NTV at One, NTV Jioni and NTV at Nine.
There are programs that seek to educate. These are documentaries like Battlefront which recaps the World War I and II, National Geographic explores the wild side of nature and survival in the animal kingdom.
Coming closer home, we have locally produced programs whose content varies from business, social issues, political, economic to local music.
NTV offers captivating, enticing and to-die-for soaps where love, romance, hatred, jealousy, mystery, beauty and fun are encompassed.
