QFM
QFM is Kenya’s fastest growing radio station. After only 4 months on air QFM rose to the position of third most popular Swahili station in Kenya. The station targets C1,C2,D 25-34 year- olds in Urban & peri-urban areas with an eclectic mix of popular music and features some of Kenya’s most popular radio personalities.
QFM was designed to fill the gap in the market for a ‘cool’ Swahili station with a more modern programming format. We set out to be different and bring something that had been missing from Swahili radio, hence the name ‘Q’ – a letter that’s missing from the Swahili alphabet.
QFM’s listeners live for today and make few plans for tomorrow. They break the rules for a sense of excitement & adventure.
QFM has launched several innovative shows including a ground-breaking three hour talk show which plays absolutely no music, just compelling debates, interviews, phone-ins and advice between 10am & 1pm.
QFM can be heard on the following FM frequencies:
Nairobi 94.4
Mombasa 87.9
Nyeri 90.9
Meru 107.1
