Dear Shareholders,

I remember vividly my reactions when I first signed up for Facebook a couple of years ago and found out how intoxicating networking with my friends online could become. Facebook, Google, the ipad and iphone just to mention a few have revolutionized the way we interact and see our world. Innovation - the term that is used to denote phenomenal creativity, the dawn of novelty and the transformation of life as we know it, is present all around us. Kenya for example recently made its contribution to global innovation by nurturing and developing the world’s first mobile phone based money transfer infrastructure – MPESA. I am convinced that this is the first of many if only a nurturing environment was found.

It was a day when Nation Media Group came together as a family to celebrate sports as well as compete against each other in what many may have termed as the greatest sports day since the company held its previous one in 2008.
