Seeds of Gold last Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (Kalro), Kitale, celebrated four years of working with farmers.
Nation Media Group Acting CEO Stephen Gitagama thanked farmers and several partners for the support, noting the magazine would continue to empower farmers.
“The magazine contains research findings from institutions such as Egerton University and Kalro transforming farmers through modern technologies,” he said, adding the company will organise farm clinics across the country.
More than 60 farmers who participated in a weeklong dairy training by experts from Kalro were awarded with certificates during the event.
Dr Felister Makini, Kalro’s Deputy Director-General in-charge of Crops, said that the collaboration was critical in achieving the country’s food security.
