This year’s Kusi Ideas Festival officially kicked off this morning at the Intare Conference arena in Kigali, Rwanda, in what promises to be an illuminating discussion about the future of the continent.

The Festival, organised by Nation Media Group (NMG), brings together various stakeholders and leaders led by Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Democratic Republic of Congo President Felix Tshisekedi, and African Union Infrastructure Envoy Raila Odinga, among other dignitaries.

Elgeyo Marakwet County Assembly Speaker, Philemon Sabulei over the weekend beat a field of 120 golfers at the par 71 Eldoret Golf Club course to clinch the overall prize during the fourth leg of this year’s Nation Classic Golf series.

This year’s Nation Classic Golf series enters its home stretch with the fourth leg at the nine-hole Eldoret Golf Club course this weekend.

Coming after the first three legs held at Nyanza Golf Club, Nanyuki Sports Club and Nyali Golf and Country Club Mombasa, this weekend’s event has attracted a big field of 136 golfers who include players from other North Rift clubs such as Nandi Bears and Kitale.

Club captain Geoffrey Kitiwa says, though the course is currently in an excellent condition, it is likely to play long because of the ongoing rains.

Nation Media Group (NMG) shareholders are set to receive an interim dividend of Sh1.50 per share for the first half of 2019, despite an 8.4 per cent drop in the company’s total comprehensive income, with the board projecting a stronger performance in the second half of the year.
