Nation Media Group (NMG) Donates KES 10 Million to the Fight against COVID-19 Pandemic

NMG has today announced a contribution of KES 10million to the Kenya COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund towards the fight of the spread and impact of the Coronavirus in Kenya.

The Kenyan media has been at the forefront of reporting about COVID-19 and driving public awareness campaigns aimed at curbing the spread of the pandemic. Nation Media Group has generated content through various campaigns like SafeNation, the Nation Leadership Forum through its print, broadcast and digital platforms. This initiative is in conjunction with Ministry of Health in efforts to flatten the curve and fight this pandemic.

NMG is among fifteen other media companies who have contributed towards the COVID-19 Emergency Fund. The contribution was done through the Media Owners Association (MOA) who collectively raised KES 150 million towards the fund. This will be inform of advertising space and airtime.

“We are happy to support Government’s efforts in containing this pandemic. We believe that our contribution as media companies will go a long way to support the Government efforts to curb the spread of this virus. We are certain that together we will win.” said Stephen Gitagama, Group CEO.
