NMG Hosts Inaugural Petroleum Summit
Nation Media Group recently hosted the inaugural Nation Petroleum Summit, bringing together thought leaders, policymakers, investors, scholars, industry pioneers, and civil society to engage in critical discussions on the future of Kenya’s petroleum sector.
The event was attended by key industry leaders including the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, and the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Petroleum, Mr. Mohamed Liban.
Speaking during the event NMG CEO, Mr. Geoffrey Odundo, said NMG is committed to demystifying the petroleum sector — shedding light on policy, tracking investments, interrogating environmental concerns, and spotlighting innovations.
“We aim to make energy and petroleum issues not just accessible, but actionable for businesses, citizens, and governments alike.” Mr. Odundo said.
Hon Wandayi said the Petroleum sector in Kenya must attract climate-smart investments to remain resilient and competitive in a low carbon global economy.
The Summit concluded with a strong call for all stakeholders to collaborate in harnessing Kenya’s untapped natural resources to drive national transformation.
