Prof. Nancy Booker

Prof. Nancy Booker is the Dean and is an Associate Professor of Journalism, Media, and Communications at The Aga Khan University’s Graduate School of Media and Communications. Previously, she held the roles of Associate Dean and Assistant Professor at AKU. Nancy's extensive leadership experience includes serving as Head of the Journalism and Communication Programme at Multimedia University, Kenya, and founding the Department of Media and Communication at ABC University in Liberia. Additionally, she has taught journalism and communication for many years at Daystar University. Nancy holds a PhD, MA, and BA in Media Studies and Communications from Daystar University, Kenya, and has completed leadership development training at Harvard. She is a Certified Professional Mediator, Vice President of the African Journalism Education Network (AJEN), a board member of the East Africa Communication Association (EACA), and a former Commissioner at the Media Complaints Commission.
